Lego soldiers marching down the street at the 4th Sarasota Chalkfestival in Florida US are a result of street artists, Leon Keer, Peter Westerink, Ruben Poncia and Remko van Schaik of the Netherlands. The Lego men are meant to resemble clay figures as a reference to the Terracotta Army of Qin Shi Huang (the first Emperor of China). The beauty of such realistic perspective drawing such as this one, is that the image only makes “sense” when viewed from a particular angle. At other vantage points, the images is skewed and unintelligible. Perspective-based street drawings of this scale require plenty of mathematical precision, and for that, we salute these artists with a top-notch WHOA-worthy salute.
